GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS
- Parents are requested to bear in mind that the school attaches great importance to building sound character in pupils. Therefore, they are expected to co-operate with the school authorities by making their children understand that a well ordered and disciplined way of life is as important at home as in school, by seeing that they prepare their lessons and by taking an active interest in the activities of the school.
- Parents are informed that occasional circulars, reports from teachers are made in the school diary. They are requested to read and sign them as proof that they have read them. Ensure that the diary is carried to the school by your ward on all working days.
- Ensure that your ward takes breakfast and leaves in time to reach school punctually.
- Ensure strict adherence to prescribed uniform, cleanliness and personal hygiene of your ward. Students should come to the school well-groomed with clean uniform, cut finger nails and well-groomed hair. Boys are to have regular haircuts. Girls with shoulder length and longer hair should have two plaits. Only white ribbon and white hair bands are allowed.
- Only during rainy season black sandals should be worn.
- See that all required text/note books and stationery are carried to school each day.
- Check if homework and other assignments are completed, as required.
- Monitor your ward’s progress and personally meet the teaching staff on the first working Saturday of the month.
- Permission for student to arrive late or leave early, should be requested only on very rare and unavoidable occasions and it should be mentioned in the diary.
- Students should be advised to take care of school property and bus fittings. In case of damage, cost will have to be defrayed, as decided by the Principal.
- Pocket money to the wards should be restricted and should be sufficient to cover minor requirements. No money is to be given for events organized by the school, unless asked through a circular.
- Parents should do their utmost to ensure good level of communication with their wards.
- Parents will not be permitted to see students or to meet the teachers during class hours. They are welcome to meet the teachers but only after permission has been granted by the Principal.
- Parents are strongly advised to attend the meetings of the Parent Teacher Association as it would only help in enhancing their children’s school environs and families.
- Parents should adhere to the visiting hours laid down to meet the Principal and teachers and avoid visiting the class-room when teaching is in progress.
- Maintenance of diary in good condition throughout the Academic year is a must.
- Parents are required to sign the Report Card and any other similar document relating to their children when requested.
- If a pupil is likely to be ill for a long period the Principal must be informed as early as possible and a medical certificate from a registered practitioner to be submitted.
- Should there be any infectious disease at home, parents should keep their child/ children at home till the danger of infection has passed.
- Changes in the address or telephone number of parents or guardians must be intimated to the school in writing and without delay, failing which the school will not be responsible for non receipt of communications.
- When communicating with the Principal, parents are requested to mention in their letter the class, section and Student No, of their child/ children.
