The Goa Kendra Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan founded a Pre-Primary school which became operational from the academic year 2004-05. The school was named Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Vikas Vidyalaya. The school got upgraded to a Primary school from the academic year 2007-08. The Kendra could buy their own land at Upasnagar, and new school building was constructed. The primary section of the school was shifted to its own building at Upasnagar in the academic year 2010-11. The school was renamed as “Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Narayan Bandekar School” in recognition of the contributions received from the noted Industrialist and Chairman of NRB Group Shri. Narayan Rajaram Bandekar, populary known as “Nanabab”.
